Is there a website you visit a lot, something you can't help but click to throughout the day? For me, it's Pottery Barn. I'm doing a bit of redecorating and I'm constantly pulling up Pottery Barn on my iPhone or iPad, either to show someone a product (my husband loves being interrupted to check out the latest curtains I think we need... and by "loves" I mean "tolerates") or to get measurements - even to make a purchase!

Getting to Pottery Barn, or any other website, through Safari on my phone and tablet isn't hard, but it isn't efficient. Making an app for the website is a fast and easy thing to do - let's get started!

First, pull up your favorite website using Safari on your iPhone or iPad. This could be a blog you read daily, a retail site you like to browse or any site you find yourself coming back to over and over again.

Next, click on the Go To icon - the one shown here at the bottom of the screen in the middle (it's a box with an arrow coming out of it).

You'll get a new screen on which simply tap "Add to Home Screen".

Next, you can add any title you want; I went with something clear and obvious for convenience's sake.

Once you hit "Add" button in the upper right hand corner, you'll be good to go. Now you can get to that favorite blog or site in a snap tap! Which means I can pull up PB on my iPhone or iPad and show my husband those beautiful curtains during commercial breaks... and buy them almost as quickly!

Which leads me to one last piece of advice: proceed with caution as making websites (especially retail ones) into apps can be a very expensive habit. Happy apping!
