AIM® TXT
AIM® TXT Features:
Update Your Status Message Wherever You Are
You're cheering on your favorite team and the game winning play happens before your very eyes - broadcast from the stands. All it takes is a simple text message to 246246 (AIMAIM). In the body of the text type "status" and the message you'd like to share - for instance, "status you should have seen that catch from here!"
1. You send: status you should have seen that catch from here! To: 246246
(If it's your first time using AIM® TXT, you'll receive a return text message, asking for your Screen Name and password)
2. You will receive a confirmation message that you've updated your AIM® Status Message
3. All of your buddies using AIM® 6.5 or above will now see your new Status Message, "you should have seen that catch from here!" below your Screen Name in their Buddy Lists.
Send IMs Through Text Messaging
Replying to an IM text message on your phone while you're on the go is great, but what if you want to start a conversation? Send IMs to your buddies by texting a simple "send" message to 246246 (AIMAIM). Say, for example, you want to send an IM to your friend ChattingChuck, thanking him for lunch:
1. You send: send chattingchuck thank you for lunch! To: 246246
2. Your friend, ChattingChuck, receives an IM from you that reads "thank you for lunch!"
