3. An AOL screen name. Don't have an AOL screen name? Create a free screen name today.
Follow these four simple steps to register your phone:
Note: You can register your phone on our Register My Mobile Phone page.
Step 1: Sign in using your AOL screen name and password
Step 2: Enter your carrier and phone number
Step 3: Click on "Start"
You will receive a text message with a 4-digit code

Your phone is registered! Now you can enter specific details about your phone make and model in the Register My Phone page. You can also choose to opt-in to receive a monthly AOL Mobile newsletter (located at the bottom of My Mobile Manage Settings).
Note: When you register your phone, you will not automatically receive text messages on your phone from AOL because you control the mobile settings area (ie. IM Forwarding and IM to Mobile). In addition, you can choose to turn these features on and off. You may still receive messages to your phone from people who know your number so if you would like to block IMs from AOL, visit our Block IMs page or go to AOL Help to cancel alerts.
Your wireless carrier may charge you for receiving text messages.

PLEASE HELP I have a Samsung Glyde, and am hooked into AOL Mobile. Unfortunately, every time I receive an email, the phone not only beeps, but the backlight comes on and stays on forever. I have it set to go out after thirty seconds, and it does so at all other times, but not when I receive an email alert. I receive sooo many (hundreds) of emails a day, this is creating an extreme drain on my batery. Is there some way I can forgo the alerts, and just check to see if I have any incoming email when I have the time? Looking forward to an answer.............thanks
