Last week, RIM announced the release of their BlackBerry App at the CTIA Show. For those of you that don't know, the BlackBerry App is RIM's answer to Apple's application store. Follow the steps below to get this application on your BlackBerry.

Downloading BlackBerry App World:

1. Bring up the web browser on your RIM device and go to http://mobile.blackberry.com

2. The first link at the top under "What's New" should be "BlackBerry App World - Download today!" - click on this link.

3. This is the application download page. Scroll down and click on the "Download" button.

4. You'll be prompted to download the application. Click the "Download" button.

5. After downloading and installing, the device may ask you to reboot. You will need to reboot to complete the install.

6. When the phone comes back up, you'll notice the black BlackBerry circle icon. This is the BB App World app.

Download AIM via BB App World:

1. The first time you run App World, you'll be prompted to accept the TOS/EULA. Scroll all the way down and click "I Accept"

2. Once inside the app, you should start off in the Featured Items category. AIM is currently # 6 in Featured Items. Scroll left and right to find AIM.

3. Once you find AIM, click on the logo to get to the AIM download page.

4. Now click on "Download" to download and install the AIM client
